Sprouted Bean Soup Recipe & Sprouts Class

My sprouts are really enjoying the cool, sunny weather of spring! And now you can enjoy growing them too! Yes, you can learn to grow Water Sprouts, Sprouted Beans and Micro Greens on your patio or in your kitchen by just signing up for my workshop: Kitchen and Patio Gardening with Sprouts. See the flyer below:

It’s going to be fun and you can take the tray you plant home to grow and enjoy whenever you like.

And now a yummy recipe to make with your bean sprouts!

Fast and Good Sprouted Bean Soup Recipe

You will need:

onion

ham (omit if vegetarian/vegan)

additional vegetables as desired

bean sprouts - 4 cups of your favorite varieties

water

additional herbs as desired

Instructions:

In a thick bottomed pot, simmer 1 chopped onion and chopped ham in olive oil until onions are translucent and ham is warm. While your onions and ham are warming, go to the next step.

Next, blend together in a blender, 4 bags of beans and /or lentils, (I like 2 French and 2 green lentil bags), and enough water to just float the beans in the blender and blend until pale. If you want a more diluted soup add more water.

Add blended beans to your warm pot of onions and ham.

Heat just until hot. No need to cook sprouted beans. The taste will be amazing!

Eat as is or add your favorite herbs. Also can add other vegetables to ham and onion mixture for more variety. Omit ham if you are vegan.

Bon Appetite😊
